Rad Mobile App Questions
Rad Pass is your ticket to shot tracking, career analytics, and on-demand stats for your golf game.
Rad Pass allows you to use all Rad Golf app functionality without needing a Rad Golf device with the added benefit of shot-by-shot tracking. Open up Rad Pass and start improving your game.
Download the Rad Golf app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Create a Rad Golf account, and navigate to Devices. In the Rad Pass section, select “Buy Now” and follow the instructions to activate Rad Pass in your Rad Golf app.
In order to request a refund for Rad Pass, you have to conduct the process through the Apple App Store, or the Google Play Store. To do so, use the following links:

Yes, to log into golf.radgolf.com to log in with your registered phone number using two-factor verification. This is the preferred way of viewing your career stats and building your bag.
It disconnects your device from the Rad App. It does not disconnect the device from the phone, just the Rad App.
Yes. To use your Rad Golf devices with Rad Pass, select Play Golf under Rad Pass, select the tee you’ll be playing from, and then select Pair. Ensure that your Bluetooth is on, and that your device is already paired to your Rad Golf account.
Yes. To register your device, connect the device to Bluetooth through your phone’s settings. Open the Rad Golf App, navigate to “Devices,” and under Sound, select “Register and Connect Device.” Follow the prompts to register your speaker.
- Ensure that your location permissions are enabled.
- Turn your phone onto airplane mode for 30 seconds, and then turn off airplane mode
- Check if you have other open applications that are using your location
- Ensure that you are within the boundary of the course you are playing
- Ensure that you are within the boundary of the hole that you are playing
- Click the arrow next to the flag icon to advance the app one hole, then return to the hole that you are playing
- Close and reopen the app, and then select "Yes" when prompted to continue your previous round
- Contact Rad Support with the course you're playing, as well as your registered phone number, and we'll be in touch to talk through the round.
When you unregister a device, make sure that you have a stable internet connection so that the change can reflect in our database. This can take up to 10 minutes depending on your internet connection and mobile device.
Once some time has passed, try to register the device to the other account again to validate that the database has updated, freeing up your Rad device for a new registration.
If your app says "Failed to load course data" or exits the course viewers when you try to start a "Play Golf" session, follow the steps below: (5 minutes)
If you're having trouble getting your Rad Speaker to full volume, make sure to check your accessibility and volume and haptics settings.
Once the device connects to the mobile app, you can Play Golf. You have to option to set the speaker to deliver range announcements, heckle your playing partners, and record your score.
Sound+ Questions
The waterproof Sound+ speaker has a GPS-enabled rangefinder shown through an OLED display. The Sound+ speaker has a removable magnet, USB port to charge other devices, and a master sound system. The Rad Golf mobile app integrates seamlessly with the Sound+ speaker and other Rad devices.
No. The speakers have two major differences. While the Sound speaker is completely audio-based, the Sound+ speakers have an OLED screen to display yardages and battery level. The Sound+ Speaker also has a secondary port that allows you to use the Sound+ as an external battery for your phone.
Turn off your speaker and turn off Bluetooth connectivity on your phone. Turn the speaker’s Bluetooth back on, and then turn on your phone’s Bluetooth. Try to reconnect again.

The provided options include applause, pressure, air horn, fart, disappointment, bottom of the cup, and hello. You can even use Text-to-Speech to create a custom heckle sound to make things more interesting.

- Wait until 1 second after the beep has concluded to speak your score
- Allow the speaker to process your first spoken score before repeating yourself, and try again.
- Turn your speaker off while in a Play Golf round, and turn it back on (Don't worry, the speaker will pick up where it left off automatically)
- Contact support@radgolf.com, and describe your issue by explaining the steps in order that you're conducting to try and record your score.
Lost your speaker? If your speaker has already been registered to your Rad Golf account, go to “Settings” and then select “Locate.” Tap “Mark as Lost” in order to prevent another Rad User from registering it to their account. Once you find your device, you can reconnect it and select “Mark as Found” from the “Locate” page and use the Sound normally.
The Sound and Sound+ have independent volume controls of your mobile device. The best way to manage volume directly from your mobile device is to increase the volume on the speaker to the highest setting and change volume only from your mobile device from then on.
This will ensure that your callouts, heckle sounds, and commands match the volume of your phone.
If your speaker has already been registered to your Rad Golf account, go to “Settings” and then select “Locate.” The app will then display a pin showing your device’s last known location.

The Rad Golf team is aware of an issue with the Sound speaker going into single-driver mode if the play/pause button is pressed quickly twice. In order to return the speaker to dual driver mode, press the play/pause button quickly twice again.
